What an Affiliate Disclosure Actually Means for You
Every review site you read on a launch earns something. Here is how to read them anyway.

What it means
The site earns a commission if you buy through its link. The commission comes out of the vendor's margin, so the price is the same whether you use a link or go direct. What can differ is whether you get a bonus package.
How to read a review that earns
- Does it name checkable facts — prices, dates, terms — or only feelings?
- Does it say where its figures came from? Unsourced numbers are the tell.
- Does it publish the criticisms too, and resolve them, or only the case for buying?
- Does it recommend a competitor at the end? That is usually a higher commission, not honesty.
This site earns too. That is disclosed on every page, every figure is sourced, and the criticisms are on the criticism check. Judge it by that rather than by the disclosure.
