How to Check an Online Course Is Real: A 10-Minute Method

Before any high-ticket purchase, ten minutes of checking removes most of the risk. Here is the order to do it in.

The order matters

  1. The seller, before the offer. A named person with a trail that predates the product settles most of the question in two minutes.
  2. The published terms. Price, dates, what is included — visible before payment, or not?
  3. The delivery mechanism. Portal, download, live? Each fails differently.
  4. The refund window, in writing. Ask before, never after.
  5. The processor. A recognised platform means a dispute path exists.

What is NOT a red flag

Urgency, a closing cart, or an expiring replay. Those are ordinary launch mechanics and treating them as sinister will talk you out of good products. What matters is whether the deadline is enforced consistently — a cart that closes and reopens quietly next week is the actual problem.

Equally, a course being expensive is not a red flag by itself. Match the price against what you would promote or build with it.
