Mark Ling's Commission Cycle, from a buyer's angle
Two questions matter about a teacher. Does he know the work, and does he still do it? They deserve separate answers, and only one of them is settled by a biography.
Does he know the work?
Yes, on the record. Affiliate marketing since the late 1990s, Affilorama built and run as a teaching business, repeated from-scratch demonstrations with numbers published as they arrived. As a knowledge question, this is about as settled as it gets in this industry.
Does he still do it himself?
Partly, and the honest version is more useful than either extreme. He runs an information and list business, and his team runs the day-to-day social accounts used as teaching examples. He has said he also builds AI tools that sit behind other people's programs.
So the fair description is a working operator in the business of teaching, whose team executes the specific method day to day. If that bothers you, the next section is the part to weigh.
The component that answers it directly
The 60 Day Demo. He starts again from zero, on a new phone, with no list, in front of the class. It exists because the question is reasonable, and it is the only component that answers it with evidence rather than argument. Judge it as it runs.
What this changes about your decision
Less than you would expect. You are buying a sequence, a set of tools and a cohort. Those are gradeable on their own, and they are what decides your outcome once the purchase is made. The teacher's record decides whether the sequence is likely to be well ordered, and on that count the record is good.
