Before You Buy

Logging in, and fixing it when it will not

The login lives in your purchase confirmation email, not on a public page, which is the reason most people cannot find it. Here is how to get in and what to do when you cannot.

Where the login actually is

The confirmation email sent at purchase contains the member area address and your credentials. That email is the reference for everything, and searching your inbox for the vendor name will find it faster than scrolling.

Bookmark the member area the first time you get in. It removes this problem permanently.

When it will not accept your details

  1. Check which email address you bought with. If you have several, the purchase address is the one that works, and it is often not the one you assume.
  2. Use the password reset rather than trying variations. It is faster than remembering and it rules out the most common cause in one step.
  3. Check for a second account. If you have bought from this seller before, you may have an older login and be trying the wrong one.
  4. Try a different browser or a private window. Cached sessions cause a surprising share of login problems on every platform.

When to contact support

After the reset has failed. Send the receipt or the purchase confirmation with the message - payment proof turns a support ticket into a two-minute fix instead of an identity-verification conversation.

If you have not bought yet

There is nothing to log into, and that is worth saying plainly because a fair number of people arrive at a login page while still deciding.

What exists before purchase is the free workshop registration, which is separate and needs only an email address. That is the thing to do first if you are undecided - it costs nothing and it answers the question the sales page cannot.

Getting in on a different device

The member area works from a phone as well as a computer, and it is worth logging in from both on day one. The sessions in particular are easier to attend from whichever device is nearest when they start.

Saving the credentials properly in a password manager rather than in a browser on one machine removes the commonest version of this problem entirely.

The one that catches people out most

Buying with one email address and trying to log in with another. It happens constantly with anyone who keeps a separate address for purchases, and it produces a login failure that looks like a broken account.

Check the address on the receipt before assuming anything is wrong. That single check resolves the majority of these.

Keeping access simple

Save the confirmation email to a folder, bookmark the member area, and store the password in whatever you use for passwords. Two minutes on the day you buy, and the access question never comes up again.
